Duncraig Manor is a hidden gem of the Carolina Pines, and a destination within an already well established World-class Destination : the villages of Pinehurst, Southern Pines, and Aberdeen. These are Moore County's planned communities of 1880 and are home to 41 golf courses and country clubs; eight of which are in Southern Pines, alone. We are also home to world-class facilities for horses, The Pinehurst Harness Track, which hosts many equestrian events, and the Walthour-Moss Foundation in Southern Pines, just minutes away, hosts The Moore County Hounds, the oldest fox hunting club in North Carolina going back over 100 years. Southern Pines is also home to the historic theater - Sunrise Theater which features The Met - Live in HD, as well as live performances. Also, The Owens Auditorium in Southern Pines is used for public concerts to include the North Carolina Symphony for both indoor and outdoor concerts. The Carolina Horse Park is just a 20 minutes away where international events take place such as Steeplechase, Dressage, Horse Auctions and many other events. There is so much to do and see even if you don't play gulf just in Southern Pines, alone. The village has an old train station which is still used to travel north or south on Amtrak. There are year-around events and local street parades, as well as festivals. Lots of art! Lots of culture! Lots of good food and great people! In short, the entire area has a small-town European feel where walking and biking are a preferred mode of transportation. We are located in the heart of it!
